Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to send a message, or check out our Facebook Page if you have additional questions.

 Since 2019, Beloved Events provides Catholic Women's weekend Retreats for women across the Tampa/ St. Petersburgh area.

The weekend is filled with praise and worship, prayerful reflection, spirt-filled talks and fellowship with other Catholic Women.  Time is set aside for Adoration, Reconciliation and Mass.

We're in the process of scheduling our next retreat, expected to be in the Fall of 2025.  More information will be provided early in 2025 about the dates.  Info will also be shared on our Facebook page.

18150 Bethany Ctr Dr, Lutz, FL 33558

We do not current have plans in place for the next retreat.  Any updates will be posted on our Facebook page.

Registration will be done through this website (please do not call the Bethany Center to try to register).

Each person attending the retreat will need to complete a registration form on the website.  The standard registration is for a shared/double occupancy room. We also have a limited number of single rooms available.  To register for a single room, you need to select the standard registration plus the single room upgrade.

Once you complete the registration, you'll get a series of 3 emails:

(1) You'll receive an initial/automated email confirming you booked a spot;

(2) You'll receive another email within 48 hours with instructions for payment;

(3)  After you've completed your payment, you'll get a final email confirming your payment has been received.  Your registration IS NOT CONFIRMED until your payment is completed.

 This is an opportunity to come together with your sisters in Christ to fellowship and grow in your faith with a God who loves you.  Enjoy a weekend of music, talks, activities, mass, and adoration on the beautiful grounds of the Bethany Center in Lutz.  It will be a chance to refocus and recharge.  Whether it's your first time on a weekend retreat or not, you wont be disapointed.  Come and join us!

We're so excited to have you join us!   Due to policies with the Bethany Center, any refunds (less a $10 processing fee) must occur BEFORE February 28, 2024.  If your plans change, please let us know as soon as possible so we can potentially fill your spot from a waiting list.  We're not able to provide refunds (less $10 processing fee) after February 28, 2024.

 The accommodations are cottages at the Bethany Center, which are like simple hotel rooms.  You can register for a double room  (shared with a roommate) or upgrade to a single (private)  room.    For double rooms, we'll make roommate assignments based on your request during registration.

Each room has a private bathroom and shares a common kitchen & gathering space with the other rooms in each cottage.  The shared space has a refrigerator plus a coffee maker (and coffee).

  • Check-in:   Friday, March 22, 6:00 p.m.   The retreat begins at 7:00 p.m. Please give yourself plenty of time to account for traffic (and the distance). If you're not in the area, many are surprised at how far/how long it can take to get to the Bethany Center, plus Friday rush hour on Van Dyke can back up..  You also want to allow time to check-in to drop your stuff off at your cottage before the retreat begins at 7 p.m.
  • Retreat Begins:   Friday, March 22, 7:00 p.m.    Allow yourself plenty of time to check in and drop your stuff off prior to the retreat beginning.  Please be sure to eat dinner before you arrive on Friday evening.
  • Reconciliation:  Given our retreat is held during Palm Sunday weekend this year, participants are encouraged to attend the area Penance Services ahead of Holy Week.    We will NOT be able to provide a Reconciliation Service during our retreat this year.
  • Retreat ends  (after Mass on Sunday) : Sunday, March 24, 10:30 a.m. - we head over to Palm Sunday Mass at St. Timothy Catholic Church
  • Mass during the retreat:  Sunday, March 24, 11:00 a.m., St. Timothy Catholic Church (2.1 miles from the Bethany Center)

We realize this is Palm Sunday weekend!  The schedule for the Bethany Center is booked almost two years in advance, made even busier by the loss of the retreat center in Venice due to Hurricane Ian.   In working around many scheduling constraints, this was the best weekend we could find (without waiting another year to have the retreat).

Because it's Palm Sunday weekend, our mass for the weekend will be the 11 a.m. Sunday mass at St. Timothy's church (conveniently located by the Bethany Center), allowing us to enter into lent as a community of the church.

In addition, given the number of Penance Services around the Diocese leading up to Holy Week (which starts with Palm Sunday), we will NOT be able to offer reconciliation as part of our weekend schedule.

Our retreat includes 4 meals, beginning with breakfast on Saturday.

Please be sure to eat dinner before you arrive on Friday evening.

Many retreatants share light snacks and refreshments in the evenings during the fellowship time you'll have.  The shared spaces of the cottages have a refrigerator (for storing refreshments) and room for gathering/fellowship.

Coffee is available in the shared space of each cottage and is also available outside our conference room.

We'll try to keep the conference room comfortable, but bring a light weight sweater in case what seems comfortable to some is chilly for you.

Feel free to bring comfortable shoes if you'd like to take advantange of the beautiful mile path around the lake .

Bring your rosary; optional to bring a bible and journal.

Many retreatants like to share light snacks  or refreshments at the end of the evening, in the shared spaces (which includes a mini kitchen and gathering space) of the cottages (completely optional).

“Do not abandon yourselves to despair. We are the Easter people and hallelujah is our song.”

St. Pope John Paul II
